Our location matters
Hidden Garden Apartments is located in the center of Lodz, that is, at 4 Wólczanska Street – not far from the numerous attractions offered by this beautiful, but still not quite discovered by tourists city. The list of places worth visiting should start with the most recognizable: Manufaktura, Piotrkowska Street, the multi-themed EC1 center and the currently fashionable Orientarium. The list of attractions should also not fail to include the numerous woonerfs, or garden streets, characteristic of the area, the many parks conducive to strolls and resting on benches, or the gardens of the numerous restaurants located mainly on Piotrkowska Street and in Manufaktura. The picturesque backdrop or the main theme of a tour of Lodz can also be an interesting, richly decorated, historic urban architecture, as Lodz can boast of excellent Art Nouveau, eclectic and modernism projects. Therefore, it is worth not only visiting the most important and obvious points on the tourist map of Lodz, but also go for a revealing, unorthodox walk in the immediate vicinity. In the “Attractions” tab you can find a list of places worth visiting with their brief descriptions and the map below allows you to easily locate them. We encourage you to read the guide and discover the more or less famous attractions of Lodz.
Why choose Łódź?
Lodz is becoming an increasingly attractive city for tourists. It is discovering its textile history, itself as multicolored as the fabrics that were created in its numerous factories. The best way to see this for yourself is at the Factory Museum and the Central Museum of Textiles, which, in addition to textile history, also presents the history of design and artistic textiles. Modern places of learning, entertainment and fun emerging in post-industrial buildings also encourage visitors to stay in Lodz. The most impressive in this area is the EC1 complex, which combines the Science and Technology Center, the Planetarium, the National Film Culture Center and the Comics and Interactive Narration Center. Adults and children are attracted to Lodz by two attractions of European scale. One is the Orientarium Zoo, where you can, among other things, watch exotic animals being bathed and fed, and while walking through an underwater tunnel, admire sharks and the beauty of the coral reef up close. Another magnet is certainly Mandoria, an amusement park located just outside Lodz. New architecture is also being developed in the city, and its best examples. in addition to those already mentioned above, are the modern Lodz Fabryczna station, the City Gate located right next to it, where a plot of land next to it is also to be used in the future to build a completely new City Hall, and above that the Philharmonic Hall building.
